We have the utmost respect for your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal details. This Privacy Policy explains in detail what information we collect from you when you visit and/or purchase something from welovewildwool.com, and why, and who we share it with.

PERSONAL INFORMATION WE COLLECT

MAILCHIMP FOR WOOCOMMERCE

Additionally, if you are a European resident we note that we are processing your information in order to fulfill contracts we might have with you (for example if you make an order through the Site), or otherwise to pursue our legitimate business interests listed above. Additionally, please note that your information will be transferred outside of Europe, including to Canada and the United States.

 

DATA RETENTION

When you place an order through the Site, we will maintain your Order Information for our records unless and until you ask us to delete this information.

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognise and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

If you register on our website, we also store the personal information you provide in your user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time. Website administrators can also see and edit that information.

WOOCOMMERCE

Our website is hosted on WooCommerce. They provide us with the online e-commerce platform that allows us to sell our products and services to you.
Your data is stored through WooCommerce data storage, databases and the general WooCommerce application. They store your data on a secure server behind a firewall. For more information, please read the WooCommerce Privacy Policy.

 

PAYMENTS

STRIPE

We accept card payments using the Stripe payment gateway. Any credit card data collected and stores is encrypted through the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI-DSS). Your purchase transaction data is stored only as long as is necessary to complete your purchase transaction. After that is complete, your purchase transaction information is deleted.

All direct payment gateways adhere to the standards set by PCI-DSS as managed by the PCI Security Standards Council, which is a joint effort of brands like Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover.

PCI-DSS requirements help ensure the secure handling of credit card information by our store and its service providers.

PAYPAL
We accept payments through PayPal. When processing payments, some of your data will be passed to PayPal, including information required to process or support the payment, such as the purchase total and billing information.

PayPal transactions are subject to the PayPal Privacy Policy.

With regard to any personal data processed by PayPal and the merchant in connection with this Agreement, PayPal and the merchant will respectively each be a controller in respect of such processing. This website is not directed toward children under the age of 13 and Wild Wool does not knowingly collect or use information from children under 13 without verifiable parental consent. By using this site, you represent that you are at least the age of majority in your state of residence, and that you have given us your consent to allow any of your minor dependents to use this site.

SECURITY

To protect your personal information, we take reasonable precautions and follow industry best practices to make sure it is not inappropriately lost, misused, accessed, disclosed, altered or destroyed. If you provide us with your credit card information, the information is encrypted using secure socket layer technology (SSL) and stored with a AES-256 encryption. Although no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure, we follow all PCI-DSS requirements and implement additional generally accepted industry standards.

CHANGES TO THIS PRIVACY POLICY

We reserve the right to modify this privacy policy at any time, so please review it frequently. Changes and clarifications will take effect immediately upon their posting on the website.
